We are committed to addressing the impact of our daily business activities on the environment. Refer our ‘Environmental Policy’ for more information.
The Green Group will look for:
We will formulate an action plan for our Green Initiatives. Our chief commitments focus on:
Largest amounts of Carbon Dioxide will be generated from energy use at our office and production unit and warehouse, in future. We actively encourage employees to reduce energy use by turning off lights and equipment, and are also exploring the percentage of energy consumption that can be purchased from renewable sources.
The journey of our printed products will cover several countries worldwide in near future, with countless operational activities. We will initiate a project to build an accurate picture of all the activities that have a carbon impact, creating a detailed process flow map; calculating the carbon footprint created; and investigating the best options that will most effectively help to reduce our carbon footprint.
The motto of Pezzottaite Journals is to reduce, reuse and recycle. We will minimize printed waste from our publishing and marketing activities, and office recycling and waste, if any, in future. We will work on same track for stakeholders working with us.
We have already made significant strides in reducing waste at our office even in initiation phase of our business. We introduced plastic drinking glasses in place of disposable cups. It might seem like a small change, but in future, with the increase in our employees’ counts, this will accounts a lot. By switching to reusable, we will save significantly on this waste.
Recycling is another major effort. For our warehouse, we will purchase an industrial shredder, which we use to shred our waste cardboard. We use the shredded cardboard as filler in the packing process where we used to use polystyrene chips.
Our policy and environmental commitments will be reviewed every year. One of our commitments is to ensure that all our employees are aware of our aims, objectives and actions. Our commitments to the environment will also be made available on our website.
This will always be an ongoing action plan, which will involve us monitoring the environmental credentials and performance of our suppliers, and setting targets for improvement. This is in particular for our printers, and also for other major suppliers to Pezzottaite Journals, such as couriers’ partners.
